Briant Happ is an accomplished writer whose work spans psychological drama, character-driven storytelling, and emotionally nuanced narratives.
He is the screenwriter behind Therein Lies Darkness, crafting a deeply introspective script centered on mental health, identity, and the hidden truths women carry. His ability to write complex, layered characters is foundational to TSF’s flagship feature.
Briant also supports story development across TSF projects and is an integral creative partner in shaping our cinematic voice.
Margaux Amie is the driving force behind True Self Films. A Los Angeles–based actor and producer, she founded TSF to challenge outdated norms and create opportunities for women, especially women over 40, in an industry where their voices are often marginalized.
Her work blends emotional depth, artistic vision, and strategic leadership. Margaux’s award-winning short film Let Go marked the company’s emergence on the international stage, screening in Cannes-affiliated and top indie festivals worldwide.
She is currently leading the development and production of Therein Lies Darkness, a psychological drama positioned for the festival and prestige distribution circuit, as well as the grounded sci-fi episodic series First Impressions.
Margaux is committed to building a creative ecosystem where authenticity, representation, and impact come first — a vision that will ultimately evolve into True Self Studios.
Hassan Abdul-Wahid is a visionary director known for his cinematic detail, grounded performance work, and strong emotional focus.
He directed the proof-of-concept film for Therein Lies Darkness, bringing the story’s psychological tension and emotional core to life through visual precision and atmospheric realism.
Hassan collaborates closely with TSF on creative direction, tone, and execution, ensuring each project reflects the company’s commitment to truth-driven storytelling.
